Bangles

The veins and the blood within
Makes her movements modest
It's grim as she stays still
For there's no peace in nest

Her fingers! they tremble
Hence there's the fist
The denial of his death
Her life wanna insist

The bangles bind the sacred
The bangles mark the bold
The tune resembles love
The warmest jewel in cold

She always puts them on
But her wrists don't complain
I just can't reconcile
How rest could cause such pain?

She never had courage
Nor she ever will
But the glass has to shatter
The ritual that kills

The quietus swamped her world
And left her eyes so dry
As wrists remain empty
No tears in the cry

But these long stood lives
You just can't untangle
For her veins still feel
The avoirdupois of bangles.
